Getting into the swing of being back on a campus as a student (as opposed to lecturing and or support staff) has been a measured battle. Whilst made easier by no longer being in a wheelchair, my health issues have continued to slow my progress as a useful/ present member of the student body. Flu twice in one month you say? Why not, my body says. Treat yourself to a double fever this second time around so you don't forget how much fun it is to be mercilessly punished by your own carcass.
When I've managed to leave the house it is to go to work at either Williamstown or Altona North Public libraries. This has been great. Except for the times when I swooned like a Jane Austen heroine with a case of the vapours... There's never a Mr. Darcy around when you need one...
